About the Student Book

We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution teaches upper elementary students about civics, government, and active citizenship. Students explore the history and principles of American constitutional democracy through critical thinking and cooperative learning. The program culminates with a unique and engaging activity: the simulated congressional hearing.

About the Teacher's Guide

Written by teachers, for teachers, the new guide includes culminating performance assessment materials and suggested reading for students and teachers. As with all levels of We the People, the teacher's guide is supported by an online student resource center.
